Please Note: This is a 40/hr per week full-time consulting role. It will require national travel at least 1 week per month. 


Opportunity Overview

This role supports the company's Demand Generation team within their Marketing division. It is specific to trade show and conference events, which drive significant pipeline growth for marketing and sales. This Events team manages live trade show events every month and an annual virtual company-owned conference, which takes place at the beginning of May.  The individual in this role will help promote the company’s attendance at a preset list of tradeshows and ensure the right lead follow up processes are in place to convert booth scans to qualified sales meetings and opportunities. This consultant will report to the Director of Demand Generation and will work daily with their Demand Gen team, the Corporate Events team, internal  Sales Professionals, and finally the potential and existing customer base.  Based on the road map of opportunities, trade show events and  customer potential, this team has more than a full plate and is looking for a full-time consultant ready to jump in with them and help balance the workload.

In terms of scope, the company generates around $200million annually and are working with a customer base in the thousands. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

This Marketing Manager will focus on two primary responsibilities; driving effective communication across multiple marketing channel owners, Sales teams and customers as they plan, quantify and execute trade shows and conferences. Most of that communication is planned and managed in JIRA. They will also work daily with Sales creating metrics for these events their Sales team can leverage to drive their business pipeline and working with them to create sales campaigns.  Metrics for Campaigns and sales pipelines are managed in Salesforce.com. 

Duties will include:

- Driving the promotion of scheduled Trade Show Events

- Collaborate with members of events team, marketing, contractors and sponsors

- Creating metrics for Sales tasks based on data from pre/post trade show events.

- Actively participate in scheduled planning meetings and team sessions.

- Attend in-person trade shows where needed

- Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience & Strengths: 

o Event Marketing experience

o Organizes and Prioritizes with Strong Attention to Detail

o Conceptual understanding of Demand Generation and various channels within  an Enterprise Marketing division 

o Effective Interpersonal Skills and Client Relations 

o Concise Communication and/or Presentation Experience

o Goal oriented and able to rally a group to achieve a goal 

o  Prior experience working with Salesforce.com desired but not required.

o  Prior experience working with JIRA desired but not required.
